Writer Darren Lemke has been brought in to pen the screenplay for a "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago?" film.
According to Heat Vision, Lemke ("Shrek Forever After," "Jack the Giant Killer") will write an adaptation of the education video game series for producer Jennifer Lopez, who may also star in the film.
The geography-themed video game first debuted in 1985 and was followed editions and remakes through 2001. The games followed a detective tracking down the world greatest thief, Carmen Sandiago, through a variety of locations, apprehending a series of her underlings.
The game also spawned several television game shows as well as a cartoon series in the 1990s.
