Darren Aronofsky reveals Ark set for 'Noah'

Director Darren Aronofsky posted this post of the set under construction.
Director Darren Aronofsky is continuing to be chatty on Twitter, offering updates on his cinematic telling of the Biblical story of Noah.

Only days after the director announced the casting of actor Anthony Hopkins as Methuselah, Aronofsky tweeted a photo of the massive ark set for the film (shown above).

"I dreamt about this since I was 13. And now it's a reality. Genesis 6:14 ‪#noah‬: pic.twitter.com/QLaIuqXh," he posted.

The film tells the Biblical tale of Noah (Russell Crowe, "Gladiator"), who was directed by God to create a giant ark to save two of every animal before a great flood wiped the Earth clean.

"Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson will play Ila, a woman who is involved with Noah's son Shem, portrayed by Douglas Booth ("The Pillars of the Earth" and the forthcoming "Romeo and Juliet").

Logan Lerman ("Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lighning Thief") is also attached as Noah's other son Ham, and Ray Winstone ("Snow White and the Huntsman") is set to play the film's antagonist.

This will be Aronofsky's followup to his Academy Award-nominated films "Black Swan" and "The Wrestler."
